A shelf next to the door, no step entrances, wide doorways and handles instead of a knob are all features that benefit everyone. Being able to roll under the stove and the sink do not affect a kitchen’s usability, and are not expensive. It’s way past time to simply build in the features that mean a home can be lived in by anyone!

While the new laws address old buildings, these photos show that the accessible features are uncomplicated. 30+ years after the ADA has been adequate time to put these improvements everywhere.
